CPSC to Hear Input on FY2019-FY2020 Activities in April

March 28 is the deadline for requests to give oral remarks at CPSC's upcoming priorities hearing. The session will be April 11 at the commission's Bethesda, Md. headquarters.

It will be focused on the FY2019 agenda and priorities, but the agency implied in its Federal Register announcement (bit.ly/2GTMzLS) that input through FY2020 is acceptable. As is typical of such sessions, speakers will have 10 minutes, and if there are time/space constraints, the agency might limit some speakers to avoid duplicative comments.

Beyond broad questions like what activities should get increased or decreased emphasis, CPSC specifically is seeking ideas for retrospective rule reviews, product risk priorities, import surveillance, outreach and educations, and expanded data sources.
