LEDs: The EC's Scientific Committee on Health, Environmental and Emerging Risks (SCHEER) is near to completing its opinion on risks, according to the minutes (bit.ly/2FSDRkn) of its March 2 meeting. Last year (PSL, 7/24/17), the panel sought feedback on risks, including consideration of targeted products like toys and car lights. It also is focusing on subpopulations like children and seniors. Prolonged use also is an issue as is distraction from flashing.
