Subscriber-Only Story CPSC knows of 533 deaths associated with micromobility products in 2017 to 2024. Subscriber-Only Story Three of the six known children's toy-related deaths in 2024 involved drowning while using or reaching for flotation toys. Subscriber-Only Story CPSC calculated an estimated annual average of 359,500 fires associated with consumer products in 2020-2022.
